AIP is shorthand for the Autoimmune Protocol. It is a science-based elimination and reintroduction diet and lifestyle protocol. It focuses on repairing gut health, balancing hormones, and regulating the immune system.

The dietary component includes removing food-driven sources of inflammation and restoring nutrient density, while the lifestyle component includes approaches to sleep, stress management, movement, and connection (both with humans and nature), in order to help best manage autoimmune disease. It has been used successfully alone or in combination with conventional treatments, depending on a person’s needs, and has even been the focus of medical research.

The organizer and host of this summit is Jaime Hartman, an experienced educator and board certified health coach, who has lived with autoimmune disease since she was a teenager. In 2013, Jaime was one of the earliest people creating recipes for the AIP and sharing her experiences as she used the protocol to improve her quality of life on her blog Gutsy By Nature.

Not at all! If you are an AIP veteran or have long since moved beyond the elimination phase through the reintroduction and maintenance phases of the protocol, there will still be lots of valuable content for you. 

Our mission is to create high quality and reliable information on the Autoimmune Protocol and we aim to make that information available for all to access, regardless of ability to pay. Therefore, the main sessions of the AIP Summit are open to the public for free.

For the first five years of the AIP Summit we recouped our expenses through business partnerships and sales of the recordings, but since 2024 we have proudly been member supported!

We will also host monthly webinars throughout the year, typically on the first Wednesday of the month. 

YES! All of the sessions will be recorded and available for 24 hours after the broadcast time, allowing those with schedule conflicts or in other time zones to watch for free at a time that is convenient for them.

After that, the recordings will be added to our archive, which members of the AIP Summit Community have unlimited access to.
