Marie-Noelle Marquis (00:05):
Welcome to the AIP Summit Podcast, your go-to resource for taking control of your autoimmune health, presented by AIP Certified Coaches. Hi, I'm Marie-Noelle Marquis, your co-host and founder of Urban AIP. This podcast is brought to you every other Monday by myself and my colleague Jaime Hartman, and our goal is to equip you with the tools, knowledge and support you need to effectively use the autoimmune protocol. Today I'm coming to you solo with a special bonus episode. I want to share some exciting news, a vision for change in our autoimmune community, and an invitation for you to be part of something bigger than all of us.
(00:46):
For those of you who don't know me yet, in addition to co-hosting this podcast, I'm an AIP Certified Coach and a nutritional therapy practitioner. Two years ago, in the fall of 2023, I founded Urban AIP, a food company on a mission to bridge the gap between healing and convenience. Urban AIP offers 100% core elimination AIP compliant meals. We do heat and eat meals for convenience and snacks. They're crafted by AIP chefs and small batches, and every meal uses organic ingredients, pasture raised grassed, and finished meats and wild caught fishing seafood. We go even further by protecting your health through our packaging. We use plant-based plastic-free and aluminum free meal trays, and even in our commercial kitchen, we never store or cook you food in plastic or aluminum. Now, this is because I created a company for my own healing as well as yours and as a practitioner, I'm very familiar with the research on toxins and their impact on autoimmune health.
(01:47):
So packaging truly does matter, and you can always count on urban IP to show up at your table with integrity without ever cutting corners. Now, why am I coming to you today? Well, here's the exciting news. On October 12th, 2025, so a little more than a month from now, the Autoimmune Association is holding the Hope Journey Walk and Urban AIP is honored to be one of the sponsors of the event. When I learned that part of joining the walk meant forming a team, I reached out to Jaime and our friend and colleague, Mickey Trescott, and together we decided to create Team AIP. Now, this is exciting because it's a team made up of AIP Certified Coaches and practitioners, their clients and patients, AIP, first-timers, AIP, long-timers, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and you. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Autoimmune Association, and with your help, I know we can even exceed that, but more than fundraising, this is about visibility and credibility.
(02:49):
This is about saying, Hey, what we put in our body and how we live our life matters. It's about bringing AIP to the mainstream conversation on autoimmune education, advocacy, research, and showing the world that food and lifestyle medicine belongs at the table, and that goes beyond AIP, obviously, right? Many people have experienced life-changing benefits on other anti-inflammatory diets as well. There's no one size fits all. However, I think we can all agree across the board that fundamentals of removing triggers, removing inflammatory foods, adding nutrient density and gut supportive foods and balancing lifestyle are universal concepts that no longer need to be looked at as the odd kid out. Here's why this team matters so much to me. I have a vision that one day Urban AIP meals and even visits with AIP Certified Coaches will be covered by our health insurance. Imagine what that would mean to you right now, if that was the case, how that would impact your life today to have fully AIP compliant meals made for you, delivered to your door at no charge, to have AIP Certified Coaches and practitioners added to your team of specialists, navigating your healing journey, and have that covered by insurance.
(04:07):
Think of how much more accessible, affordable, and life-changing AIP would be for millions of people, how many lives could be improved and what that means for the shelves at the grocery store. Even now, I know this is a big idea and we might feel like, oh, well, we're so, so far from that, but every big idea starts with small, consistent steps. The first step is making sure we are seen, heard, and recognized. That's what this walk represents. That is why I'm coming to you today. In addition to fundraising for a cause that obviously we're all impacted by showing up as a strong team, AIP creates visibility and impact for our community and the very future of how autoimmune health is managed in healthcare. So how can you be part of this movement? Well, here are three ways to join us. Number one, join the team and walk with us.
(05:00):
You can go to give dot autoimmune association.org/team AIP to register. I'll put this link in the show notes for everyone. I will be in Washington DC with Jaime and Mickey on October 12th, and we would love to walk with you in person, and if you can't make it, no problem, you can also join us virtually from wherever you are in the world. Share your walk on social media tag #teamAIP, #autoimmune protocol #hopejourneywalk in your post so you get more visibility as well. Second way is donate. Every contribution helps us reach our goal. If you are in a position to donate, please do so. You can also use that same link in the show notes to make a donation, and please share that link with your friends, family, coworkers on social media, all that stuff. The wider our reach, the more successful we will be at reaching our goal.
(05:53):
Number three, you can support through merchandise and products. That's fun. I'm really excited about that. So you can buy a team AIP hat. I'll also put that link in the show notes and all the proceeds will go to the fundraiser. We've also partnered with incredible AIP friendly brands to create the Hope Journey, AIP Snack Box, which is filled with nourishing snacks to fuel your wok and beyond. In that box, you'll find samples from Urban AIP and collaborations with EAT Gangster, SIP Herbals, Get Saucy, Eaves Wellness, and Amy Heimer, and more to come. All the profits again, go straight to the fundraiser, so lots of fun options. I will also share the link for the box in the show notes with everyone. This is our chance to come together not just as individuals navigating autoimmune disease, but as a powerful community pushing for change as people who have to advocate constantly for our right to treatment and that our symptoms are not in our head, but real.
(06:54):
I think we all know the importance of speaking up. Our voices can open doors for accessibility, convenience, and affordability in ways we've all been dreaming of. So I invite you, walk with us, donate, share, or simply spread the word together. We can truly make a difference. Thank you so much for listening. Make sure you tune in today for our main episode highlighting the Fall Encore of the Sixth Annual AIP Summit and Jaime's fantastic presentation where she'll discuss her Ready Set AIP program. And remember, AIP is more than a diet. It is a complete protocol with many branches, and there are many ways to approach it. Please subscribe to the AIP Summit Podcast and your favorite podcast player. And as always, if you'd like to leave us a rating and a review, it will help others find this podcast where we're committed to helping you use the power of the Autoimmune Protocol to elevate your wellness journey to new heights. I'll see you on the walk.
